Abstract |
Durian packing house in Rayong, Thailand was expanded from 24 ton/day capacity. In packing house, durians were manually unloaded, graded and laid in a 93x120x69 cm wooden container. The full container was transported by a manual trailer to weigh. After that two containers of Durians were transproted by a battery-powered lifter to spray chemicals for diseases control. Durian were lift to for naturally ripening in wooden container and transported by truck to the market. The recommended improvements to increase working efficiency in durian packing house were as follows : using belt conveyer for unloading and grading durians, automatic chemicals spraying larger lifter, optimum size and foldable container, flat and clear loading portion of truck. |
